Duke of Edinburgh

Updated: Jan 11, 2019

This month saw 29 Year 9 students complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award by engaging in their overnight camping expedition. The students showed great character, resilience and leadership as they overcame challenges in order to achieve the award. From soaring temperatures, horsefly bites, angry farmers, and the occasional encounter with cows, the students showed great MCA spirit and worked together to achieve a common goal. The students were independent throughout the weekend, setting up their own tents, cooking their meals, making their sandwiches, and most of all navigating throughout the day. A special mention to Maayir Khan, Taiwo Popoola, Marshall Stamp, Mathew Leighton and Junior Rado for excelling and being the DofE masters.
