On Wednesday 3rd October 2018 Manchester Communication Academy were formally recognised for Outstanding Contribution to Safeguarding (in particular the work around knife crime) and the collaborative work recently with the City Council, Manchester Young Lives and GMP. We were recommended for this award by Councillor Igbon and it was a agreed by the Scrutiny Committee for Manchester City Council.
Safeguarding Lead Andrea Grant and Student Well-Being Lead Sarah Gerrie attended the Town Hall along with 4 students to collect the certificate. The event was streamed live and has since been been posted on all social media platforms associated linked to MCA, GMP and Manchester Young Lives
